Bruno De Marco is a Berlin-based Luso-Brazilian artist whose practice focuses on Latin-Futurisms and, more specifically, on the Poetics of Rendering – that is, on the affective, aesthetic, and political relations that emerge when one kind of data is translated into another.
Born in Foz do Iguaçu (BR, 1995) and later raised in Lisbon (PT, from 2010 onwards), De Marco first studied Stage Design at António Arroio Art School (Lisbon, PT, 2015) before completing a BFA at the Upper School of Arts and Design in Caldas da Rainha (PT, 2018). They are currently an MA student and tutor in the “Raumstrategien” program at Weißensee Kunsthochschule Berlin, under the supervision of Prof. Bonaventure Ndikung and Prof. Pauline Doutreluingne.
De Marco’s work has been presented in solo and collective contexts at HOTO Galerie, the São Paulo Biennial / Ciccillo Matarazzo Pavilion, Floating University Berlin, Kunstverein Arnsberg, CLB Berlin, Witte Rook, Appleton Gallery, and a range of independent and institutional spaces across Portugal, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, and Brazil.

As it stands, their current research is centered around Sci-fi and World-Building. More specifically, on the development of a Post-Humanistic Lore, within which a near-futuristic society discusses the potential of their very apocalypse in the face of an all-seeing Atmospheric entity named Æther.
